These lovely napkins date from around 1890. They measure 32.5” by 28” high (82.5cm by 71cm) and the monogram measures 2.5” by 2” high (6.5cm by 5cm). The set are white damask and have a double damask weave of fully open and budded roses with garlands of foliage. The monogram is encircled by a garland of scrolls and the monogram itself is very ornate with highly decorative whirls which has a very Victorian gothic look to them. This is a lovely set and freshly laundered and pressed ready for use.
