It is very rare to find such a lovely pair of Pillow Shams. The monogram is of the finest embroidery one could hope to find. It is French and dates around the turn of the century. The sham measures 30" by 31" high (76cm by 79cm) and the monogram is 4" by 4.5" high (10cm by 11.5cm). Pillow area is 26" by 26.5" high. The entire outer edge and inner edges have a row of drawn thread. Then there is a middle border with an intricate drawn thread design. Each corner has an open rose embroidered which also is drawn thread details. Have a look at the detailed pictures. The back is fastened closed with five mother of pearl buttons. These are for the dedicated collector of fine linen!
