This simple yet beautifully embroidered sheet is a treat. Dated around 1850's this sheet is a testament to the early weaving techniques. It has a centre seam which is a telltale sign of the weaving looms that were used at the time. Later the larger looms were used which is when the centre seamed sheets then were then no longer available. The sheet is 79" in width by 106" in length (200cm x 270cm) and the monogram measures 7.5" wide by 3" high (19cm x 7.5cm). This is suitable for a double bed. This is a rare sheet of 100% linen of a gentle oat colour. The monogram is embroidered with ivory white cotton thread. A treat on any bed!
