A lovely pale dove white sheet with a centre seam. This would have dates somewhere between 1850 and 1850. The linen weaving looms were scaled to such a size to allow two halves of the sheet to be made and then sewn together. The join is so meticulous and a tribute to those who painstakingly would have has the skill to achieve this. The monogram has posies of small flowers and leaves which melt into the design. (There a few faded water/rust stains which will disappear successively with each wash - the wonders of biological powders.) The sheet is 80" in width by 104" in length (203cm x 264cm) and the monogram measures 10" wide by 4" high (25.5cm x 10cm). This is suitable for a double bed. The weave is tight and consistent and of a good weight. The perfect summer weight sheet!
